Eudald de Juana (born in 1988) is a contemporary artist from Girona, where, surrounded by an artistic and natural environment , he learned the trade and developed a deep interest for art.
At 19 he began his formal studies in Fine Arts and explored many different artistic disciplines at the Barcelona University (UB), generally using the human form as a departing point for his ideas, as he considers it a great tool to express emotions and engage with the viewers.
Upon graduation in 2012, Eudald moved to Florence to focus his training in academic sculpture and drawing at the Florence Academy of Art. Here he was able to pursue his interest in the representation of human figure in the naturalist style based on the tradition of 19th century french and italian academies.
After the studies he became principal instructor in sculpture and drawing in The Florence Academy of Art.
After 3 years of teaching regularly, in 2018 he decided to move back to his home town, Navata next to Figueres (Spain), to set up Geode Art Space, the place of creation for him and other artists, surrounded by nature.
Eudald works mainly with private commissions. His works can be found in private collections in countries like The US, Canada, UK, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Austria, France, Germany, Kuwait and Hong Kong.
In 2014 Eudald sculpted a Monument of Carles Rahola in the town of Cadaqués. In 2017 he sculpted a monument of the composer Manuel Blancafort, currently on display in one of the most prestigious buildings of catalan history, Palau De La Música Catalana, in Barcelona.
In 2019 Eudald de Juana had a big solo exhibition in Museu Empordà, the museum of Figueres, the capital of the region.
One year later, Eudald took this same exhibition to the Museu de la Garrotxa, the museum of Olot, in the capital of it’s region.
In 2021 Eudald sculpted a monument “Ritorno in Aria”for the Cimetero Moumentale di Milano, Italy.
In 2023 Eudald completed the commission “Memòria” in Figueres, a symbol of the horrors of the Spanish Civil War.
In 2025, his sculptures, commissioned to promote the Hong Kong film Sons of the Neon Night, were publicly unveiled, coinciding with the movie’s premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
His works also can be seen in the permanent collection of the Museu d’Art Modern in Barcelona (MEAM).
